policy presentation
You will conduct an in-depth analysis of a current health policy issue specific to an existing state or federal bill that has not been enacted into law (MY BILL IS LISTED ABOVE) The type of detailed analysis required for this assignment necessitates beginning to work on it early in the semester to allow for sufficient time to thoroughly conduct a literature search to determine the available research and other sources of evidence. You will be analyzing contextual factors surrounding the issue, such as the socio-cultural and economic impact on the public, nursing, and others. You will use statistical and other numerical data as supporting evidence relative to your chosen bill and pertinent to the bills issue. Statistical and other numerical data should be clearly depicted in the form of figures or tables since it is an effective way to inform policy makers when advocating for policy change.
MY BILL: The short title of the federal legislative bill is the Health Care Capacity for Pediatric Mental Health Act of 2022. The bills prefix and bill number is S.4472 and was presented during the 117th Congress.

You are expected to read the bill in its entirety as part of your analysis. Specific details are outlined in the rubric. When summarizing the bill, you will describe, in your own words, the bills key provisions relative to the proposed legislation, including any amendments (i.e., new or added language shown as an underline or italics in the bill) and repeals (i.e., removed from existing law shown as a strikethrough or [bracketed] language). The bill summary should not be a simple restatement of the bills summary accompanying the bill.
Each presentation should be no more than 10 slides in length excluding the title and reference slides. You will use the Presentation Guidelines to help you create a scholarly presentation. The Presentation Guidelines conform to principles of APA Style (see the Course Resources in Canvas). Citations and references must be included in the presentation in the correct APA format. In-text (narrative or parenthetical) citations should be included within the body of each slide to credit the work of others, and references placed at the end of the presentation. All references should be primary or authoritative sources. Be aware that some sources, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, routinely cite the work of authors on their websites. Therefore, you should carefully consider whether it is more appropriate to review the works cited and retrieve the primary source directly, rather than relying on another authors interpretation.
The required file format is a video presentation or screen-sharing video presentation using PowerPoint presentation slides. Videos should not be embedded within the presentation because of Turnitins limitations. You are expected to narrate the presentation in your own voice
